Stuff I say...

I don't run after people... It ruins my pretty shoes... How can we expect anything to change, when our actions remain the same? Creator of trouble... Bye, bye kitty... Mondays always need an extra shot of espresso... I don't follow my destiny, I make my destiny... Crazy/Beautiful...
I fell in love with the stars, the beauty of the night....

Sleep Nazi meets Confucius...

Aargh, I live with a sleep Nazi...
Now if you're wondering what a sleep Nazi is, let me give you my very accurate definition...

A sleep Nazi is someone who just cannot resist to wake you up and keep you awake by doing annoying things... or, pain in the ass...

This morning at 4:50 AM, I was rudely woken by a Skype conversation and dance music...
So after falling asleep at 1:30 AM, I can surely say that I was a bit upset and not too friendly.

Since it's Friday I thought I would take an afternoon nap (best part of not working set hours)
To my surprise, the sleep nazi woke me up again...

Curse the sleep nazi...

Here's a photo of me and Confuscius... Since coherent writing is out the window due to lack of sleep...
It's me and Confucius... Leaning statue of Confucius???

A comatose weekend...

I was comatose for most of the weekend...
Who knew that listening to an audio book is the cure to Insomnia?

It was the best free weekend ever, except for the fact that I didn't eat any candy, ice cream or chocolate or have a movie marathon or finish The Count of Monte Cristo. (It drags and I keep on thinking how much cooler the movie is and I always prefer the book to the movie)

I didn't do anything productive actually... Perfect lazy weekend...
Unfortunately it's goodbye to the weekend and a full day of work tomorrow.

Seems that I cannot update my blog while listening to an audio book, what an ADHD post...
Oh, look sparkles!

Sleep...

It's one of those nights again...
My insomnia is back...
It could be that my brain is too busy processing thoughts about thoughts, which is really upsetting since all I can think of is a good night's rest. The one thing that evades me.

Insomnia is a gross feeder.  It will nourish itself on any kind of thinking, including thinking about not thinking.  ~Clifton Fadiman

I've tried watching the boring movies, but that doesn't help much either since I just become a zombie or feel like a zombie...

When you have insomnia, you're never really asleep, and you're never really awake.  ~From the movie Fight Club, based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk

Some people see sleep as death's baby brother, personally I think lack of sleep is related closer to death than sleep... Not sleeping enough is the death of a productive mind, even though I know Einstein rarely had more than four hours sleep a night.
(But since I barely grasped the theory of relativity, I don't think that I can claim to have the sheer genius to stay awake at night)

Fighting insomnia is a losing battle most nights.
I chose  the easy route tonight... Drug it away. It doesn't solve the problem, but it surely treats the symptoms.

Maybe I will have some sweet release and a well rounded life if I get my 40 winks tonight.

We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.

The Tempest

Maybe one day, I will be able to sleep like this little guy. for now, I'm just jealous

Nocturnal...

I have succeeded in messing up my internal clock so much that I'm officially nocturnal. I cannot seem to keep my eyes open during the day, but as soon as the sun sets I'm wide awake.
I think I can become a vampire hunter and save the world from the Twilight cast... No more sparkly vampires and the world will make sense again.
Time to go to the other side of the world so that I can sleep at 'normal' times again...

Being awake at night does have its perks... I think
Hong Kong isn't a very quiet place, but nights are quite peaceful and it's amazing to have relative silence.
Also, I can catch up on some reading and movies that I haven't watched yet, or the ones that I feel are worthwhile to watch again. Shawshank Redemption and Corpse Bride are the two favourites for the time being.

Time to find some movies and maybe I should start looking for some popcorn, I have some ling nights ahead of me...

This is what happens to me when the sun sets...
